The Ballet and Movement Arts Center of Moore
Training home of the Moore Youth Ballet

Creating community through the transformative power of dance.

Moore dancing, Moore friends, Moore connection, Moore fun

Welcome to the Ballet and Movement Arts Center of Moore. We have a passion for dance education and offer ballet and Laban based creative movement classes for students of all ages. We believe that sound technical training should be partnered by classes in creative movement, improvisation and choreography so that students develop agency and authenticity in their movement styles and lives.

Students at the Ballet and Movement Arts Center of Moore gain the 3C skills that are important to living life fully; creativity, collaboration and confidence.

The Ballet and Movement Arts Center of Moore is proud to include the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® National Training Curriculum, a breakthrough 9 level program that combines high quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development. The ABT® National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels. Pre-Primary through Level 7 will be taught by ABT® Certified Teacher, Jane Vorburger, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 7 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. https://www.abt.org/training/teacher-training/national-training-curriculum/

Our creativity and collaboration classes follow the 92nd Street Y’s dance education model based on the work of Rudolf Laban. https://www.92ny.org/dance/dance-education-laboratory. Our creative movement classes emphasize social emotional learning by incorporating weekly themes and children’s literature. We believe every child should be empowered in their creativity and self awareness. Laban based dance education is the best way to teach children self expression with movement and collaboration skills with others.

Our students become leaders and creators because they are confident in themselves and in their vision of what the world can be.
